Roadmap to College Workshop

Tawheed Center is offering a Roadmap to College Workshop on Saturday, November 11th, from 10 AM to 2:00 PM.
Attend this free workshop packed with information on how to succeed in forming a firm foundation in high school for college and beyond while also holding to our roots in the Deen. There will be concurrent sessions for parents and students. Parents are invited to attend the specifically targeted sessions. 
We will have sandwiches and snacks.

Speaker Biodata

Dr. Polly Bachrouche is a Counselor for the International Baccalaureate Program at Harrison High School in Farmington Hills, MI.
Khurram Wani was born and raised in Detroit, MI. He attended Wayne State University for his undergraduate studies and currently teaches middle school math at
Huda School in Franklin. He also serves as the Youth Director at Tawheed Center. Khurram has been an organizer, teacher and speaker for various masjid and youth
programs throughout the metro Detroit area.

Mansoor Mubeen graduated from International Academy and is a Junior in the Medstart program at Wayne State University. He is also a national merit scholar.

Ameen Khaleel graduated from Bloomfield Hills High School and is a Senior with Pre-Med major in the Honors Program at Wayne State University. He is President of YMTC and is actively involved in organizing youth activities.

Afeefah Khan is currently a second-year student at University of Michigan-Ann Arbor majoring in Public Health. She is involved in many activites on campus including MSA, mentorships, and research. She graduated in the top of her class with her IB diploma from Harrison High School. She was president of MSA and Think Pink club in high school, played on the soccer team, and participated in volunteering activities.

Zaid Balushi received his Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering from The Pennsylvania State University. During his time at Penn State, Zaid held the position of Powertrain Simulation Lead on the university Formula SAE team developing the engines intake and exhaust simulations as well as providing powertrain performance reporting for the team. He Currenlty works in the automotive indsutry developing next generation heavy duty pickups.He is currenlty serving as a board member of the Association of Muslim Professionals (AMP).
