It is related by Buridah (ra) that the Messenger of Allah (saw)said:
Those who go to the mosques in darkness. give the glad tidings that (in return for it) perfect light will be granted to them on the Day of Resurrection.” (Tirmizi, Abu Dawood)

Commentary: To go the mosque regularly for prayer in the darkness of the night takes a lot of effort and is a sign of sincere devotion to Allah. Whoever does so has been given the good tidings by Allah, through the Prophet (saw) that in the darkness of the Day of Resurrection perfect light will be made available to him.
